How to make Fried Rice !!!

Last week I was having breakfast @ office, with a friend. She asked me, whether I cook anything at home.. That reminded me of preparing Fried Rice once during a week end.

Fried rice, is a classic Chinese comfort dish. It's believed that fried rice (Chao Fan) originated in the city of Yangzhou in eastern Jiangsu province. Made with barbecued pork, shrimp and spring onions. That’s history. I downloaded the recipe and saw some videos in youtube so that I can make a good lunch for my brothers.

Basic Ingredients

# 2 green onions, finely chopped

# 2 large eggs

# 1 teaspoon salt

# Pepper to taste

# 3 tablespoons oil for stir-frying, or as needed

# 4 cups previously cooked rice,

I started with the adding 1 tablespoon oil, swirled it so that the bottom of the cooker is coated. Added the rice to it. Stir-fry for 2 - 3 minutes, until the rice got heated, and blah blah blah...

After the prescribed time period, I opened the cooker with doubtful mind. But the smell came out was so delicious. Both my brothers jumped to kitchen and looked inside. It was a funny moment. All three heads, into one cooker. But we could see some more water there. So kept it for 5 more minutes.

By the time, I got a call from a friend. He called me up for Lunch outside. So with hesitation, I started there. All the way I was thinking about my fried rice. I had lunch from outside, and came back home by evening.

None of them was talking to me. I went to kitchen to see something is left, so that I can taste it. I couldn believe my eyes. There was no Fried Rice. But some PAYASAM…

“The reward of true love is not true love”

Yesterday I got the return ticket to Bangalore from Cochin. The bus was at 8.30 P.M. Reached EKM by 6.00 P.M. I thought I will have my dinner there itself, and spend some time roaming in the city. I saw one Handi Crafts exhibition. So washed-out some time there. Then I went to Marine Drive. It was almost 7.00 P.M. The evening breeze was trying to murmur something to my ears. I was enjoying the silence around. There was no other sound other than that of lagoons.

If you have read my previous blogs, then you will be sure, what is my next step J As always when I am alone, my mind roves through past memories. I don’t know why today it stopped in my school days. Last week I have completed the book, (sorry I don’t remember the book name). May be because of that.

It was a story of a feminist doctor. She loved someone so deeply, in her higher secondary schools days. May be we can call as a crush, as most of us expect the same thing those days. But “The reward of true love is not true love”. He dies in early age itself leaving his diary for her. That deepens her love. The author tries to explain each and every moment in their school days.

I was also in a boarding for my high school days. We had a very good bond among ourselves. But as the time plays hide and seek, I also lost the contacts. I don’t know where all my friends are. Some I found through orkut. Still More. Thanks to orkut J

Sometime memories are like sweet candies and some other time, it makes our eyes wet. The breeze was trying to wake me up. I checked my watch, and found its time to move. I could see some tourist boats in a distant view. But the songs were playing so loud enough. It was “Mere Sapnoke Rani Kab Ayegi Thuuu”. It reminder me of another incident. But there is no time.. I have to leave. May be I will write later about that. Till then Bye...

Sunday Morning..

This Sunday morning was little different from the other Sundays. I couldn go to church. It was a must for us. The relief & blessing after the Holy Mass is unexplainable.

I have missed couple of Sundays, due to several exams. This time, it was for my brother. He came to Bangalore on Saturday for an entrance Test. We reached the test center on time. I could see so many candidates waiting there. The scene was different here. The “Doctors” who saves many lives, who relieves our pains, waiting eagerly to get the big gate to open. My brother also started with them. I have to wait for him till 01.30 P.M. That too about 4.5 Hours.

I found out a cool place to sit. Many dry leaves where scattered their. So I took the camera & started trying to make a new canvas.

I saw a newspaper lying there. Took a sheet and sat on that and started reading the rest. It was a silent place. I was away from the noisy city ambiance for some time. I could feel the same silence of my native their. Some children were playing with their cycles. We used to play like that in our childhood days. I wish I was also at the age of 10. So that I can also play with them.He came after his exams by 01.15 P.M.

I left the paper there and we started back home. Life plays hide and seek with us. We have to leave so many things n our way and rush to the future. I am also running leaving all my good childhood memories.

Paint Ball @ Yuyutsa

Last month, we had a Team outing from EMC. We went to Paint Ball Area (www.yuyutsa.com). Some of my friends were asking me about that. So I thought I will write something in the blog.

One day when I arrived at my cubicle, there was a personal invitation. It was to the Paint ball Arena. I was hearing that for the first time. I got the video link from the organizers. After seeing the video, I was so eager to go there.

It was a Saturday, and its quite long from our office. So my friend Nishi, told he will take his car and we will go together. We were the first one to reach there. The breakfast was arranged in a resort nearby. Everyone was “ON TIME”… So we started to Arena bit late. By that time, I started taking some pictures. I saw a different type of fruit there. So thought will take a picture and ask my mom regarding that (As she is a Botany Professor I used to make pictures of plants and flowers for her.)

We could see the arena from long distance. I was sort of desperate after seeing that. Because I thought it will be a big ground, and the place where we could see was small. There were huge sand sacks, like a war field.

By the time, there were some other guys from outside, who were preparing to start the game. So we thought of watching their game first, then we will learn about the game. We were spitted into 4 teams. Our team was “D- Dangerous”. Our war cry was “HOODI MANGA (Beat Him)”.

The manager of Arena, spoke about the game and our mission. We will be having a flag in our base. We have to save our flag, in the mean time, we have to kill others (if you hit one bullet you are killed and out of game) and get their flag. We have decided our strategy. Two will be attacking, 5 in middle, and 3 in the base for defense. We got a sample Paint bullet.

We were the second team to get into the war field. The gun is little big. We will be provided a mask and a bullet proof. Each one will be given 10 bullets per game.

Once we got into the field, we knew its going to be tough. Its really difficult to hide next to the sand sack and move from one to another. But we stayed patiently, so the other team make a foul move, and we can hit them.

Our strategy worked out, and we got the highest points and came out first in the tournament. After that we had the lunch, and the review sessions. All jumped into the pool so that they can relax after the so called “WAR”.

It was just a game. If we hit a bullet, nothing will happen, other than getting out of the game. But there are lots of Army men, who sacrifice their life to this Mother India, and for us. Because of their vigilance, we sleep here peacefully. Lets pray for them and those martyrs.

JAI HIND…

New year and Karting !!!

2008 was so good for me... I completed my studies, got new Job and lots of good things happened... Thank God...

2009, the New Year, New Hopes budding up...

It was the first time, i was going for a New Year Service at Mid night. We started from home by 9.45, and reached church 10.00 P.M. At exact 12.00 AM all the lights were switched off and we were holding candles to attend the most important part of the Holy Mass. It was a great beginning..

Woke up late at the morning. We were planning how to spend the new year day. Anyway having lunch outside was sort of finalized. Then suddenly we thought of searching for the "Karting Arena in Bangalore".. Logged into Google, the mother of Search engines and found out one in RT Nagar. We knew its a long journey from our house, still after seeing the picture and videos we were sort of excited...

Took and Auto from the bus stop. We reached there around 3.30 P.M. The Arena is little big, than what we imagined.

Many guys were waiting for the turn. Some were having the race. I started taking some pics, so that i can share it with my friends.

I thought i will go after my brother finishes his race. So he got the first ticket for 7 laps. It was really cool to watch him race with other guys. We took couple more tickets so that we can race among ourselves.

My car started little bit earlier, so i was leading the race. At some point of time, he crossed me. But some how i managed to win in the end.

We started back home by around 6.00 P.M, had something from McDonald's (can call it as a dinner :-) ) and reached back by around 9.30 P.M.

New Year Day was fun filled with lots of fun...

Anyway Happy New year to you and your family.. May God Bless you and shower his blessings to you..
